Creating A Dutch Master Style Still Life
Behind the scenes Pt 1. A special peek into my creative process.
Good morning friends, it’s a but chilly here but I have a steaming mug of tea to warm me. My seedlings and young plants for my flower garden are coming along nicely in the zippy greenhouse but I have had a few unwelcome hungry pest guests. Mice have gotten to a couple of my Phlox seedlings and the Borage has a little slug or snail party on it. But this is why I over plant so that there might be a few survivors of frosts and feastings!
I thought you might enjoy a look behind my creative process this week. I always find this so fascinating whether someone is breaking bread, weaving wool or drying flowers. A magazine I devour when I can get my hands on it is What Women Create for this very reason. It’s so refreshing and inspiring to see the manifold expression of beauty in art.
I picked some natural beauties from the garden this week and so my first step is to make sure I know what they are so I can correctly identify them. Some people are a wealth of knowledge in this area, I have Google.
look at this little darling.
