Detours, A Society Hostess, Royal Connections and A Pianist Who Needs To Quit His Day Job?
Hello my friends,
I had such a wonderful (albeit whirlwind) visit to this stunning National Trust property last week. I can’t wait to share it with you! After a tech blip with the lead in the car to my phone (Satnav) which led to a 17 mile detour on the M25, hubby and I finally made it and caught up on some sunshine and beauty. We made a new discovery of a woman who apparently raved about Hitler and a most energetic pianist inside the house. There are some juicy royal connections to boot.

We had less time than planned due to a faulty lead in the car which connects to my Satnav on the phone. We got off the M25 and silly me decided that was the perfect time to text our friends who were already there to update our ETA. As we circled the vast roundabout the signal cut out. In a moment of excitable voices and panic manoeuvres we pulled off and found ourselves back on the motorway! (Cue SpongeBob narrator) 30 minutes later . . . When we finally made it we headed for the loos and coffee to regroup. Our friends and my Godson (going to say that as often as I can) came out to meet us in the front cafe, little did we know there was another more impressive cafe inside and, an even more impressive house.
